BEV returns to Edinburgh to celebrate the women in the programme and to connect and inspire female filmmaking talent, with these two exciting events:

Birds Eye View: Celebrating Women Filmmakers

Join us and some of the women with films in the festival for an hour of inspiration, free drinks and female-friendly networking! Special guests confirmed so far include Najwa Najjar (Director - Pomegranate & Myrrh), Lindy Heymann (Director - Kicks), Sacha Horler (lead actress of the Sarah Watt film - My Year Without Sex).

Monday 22nd June
Birds Eye View: Pitch and Connect
1530 - 1700

Sheraton Hotel, Glenkinchie Room
Free to all EIFF pass holders

BEV invites female writing, directing and producing talent to come and have a 15 minute one-to-one session exploring your film ideas with leading industry commissioners and producers. Your chance to get advice from the UK's best.

Confirmed industry experts so far include:

Rebecca Mark Lawson – Managing Executive, Lifesize Pictures – delivering over 200 short films per year for the UK Film Council New Cinema Fund through schemes such as Digital Shorts and Cinema Extreme.
Chris Collins – UK Film Council Development Fund, feature film programme – producing credits include My Summer of Love and Brick Lane.
Lizzie Francke - Development producer for the UKFC's Development Fund. Producing credits include Donkey Punch, Control and This Is England.
Becky Lloyd - Development producer for Scottish Screen.
