BEV Labs

BEV Labs are unique, targeted training programmes designed to untap outstanding female potential and hothouse new talent for the benefit of the film industry and the global cinema audience.

To date we have successfully run three labs focusing on writers, once with a specific focus on comedy, once on forming alliances with animators, and once on featre development. Three comedy feature films and three animated feature films have been taken into funded development, and nine full length screenplays completed, as a direct result of these Labs.

  • She Writes

    She Writes was a year-long development lab for ten women screenwriters, co-presented by BEV and The Script Factory, and supported by Skillset, Scottish Screen and Grange Hotels.

  • ReAnimate

    ReAnimate was an innovative animation development initiative from Birds Eye View and Warp Films with the support of Skillset and the Bradford Animation Festival.

  • Last Laugh

    Last Laugh was the first BEV Lab, a new comedy feature film development initiative from Warp X and Birds Eye View, supported by Skillset.
