NIGHT GALA: INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY: NATIONAL FILM THEATRE
Thursday 8th March NFT 1: 8.10PM
To
launch our biggest festival yet, we will be holding a special International
Women's Day celebration on the festival's opening
night. Introduced by JERRY HALL, with live music
from Mercury Prize nominee Zoe Rahman, we will
screen short films from the best new international talent – from
gripping Israeli drama through innovative and profoundly affecting
South African animation to an hilarious BAFTA-nominated cartoon.
PLUS free after show party with Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac .
The evening promises to be an inspiring, entertaining celebration
of female talent and a great taste of the festival to come.
