Festival Party

ICA Theatre, Thur 11 Mar, 7pm–1am

The culmination of a sizzling festival will see a night of live music, acts & DJs including Hooligan Night, Patti Plinko, Anna Calvi & Mr Beasley

Headlining is electro rock 'n roll super-band Hooligan Night . Lead by Ruby Blues , Singer / Performance Artist & Creative Director of Glastonbury's Trash City and described as a “vixen-fronted electro punk juggernaut” and “the Yeah Yeah Yeahs-meet-Tom Waits” they are currently one of the most talked-about acts on the London live circuit.

Other acts include manic chanteuse Patti Plinko with her mesmerizing, seductive throaty vocals who's specially commissioned live score to the Original Chicago is one of our highly anticipated Sound and Silents events   - we can't wait to also see her 'regular' on which Time Out commented 'She sings like a hell cat – all purrs, growls and deranged. A dreamy, dark, bourbon-soaked show - full of fire and attitude'.

Hot tipped electronic act Mr Beasley 's sound hovers between the hauntingly beautiful and the downright dirty, they will be making an apprearnce just before Anna Calvi, Calvi's unique blend of dark atmospheric romantic pop will make for a beautiful way to start the evening.

It is seven years on from Nadia and Sara The Young and Lost Club girl's first steps into music and they are now running an influential label and club night, with 45 single releases behind them. i-D magazine have commented that they “have London under their thumb” we agree & can't wait them for them to bring their excellent DJ skills and lovely selves to the party.

In the bar the ICA run their regular Heavy Pencil night, where the lovely Jiggery Pokery ladies will animate the place with real time drawing in response to music.

Ultra-glam facepainting also in the pipeline!
