Developing Countries Films
This year we present a double-location showcase of cinema by women outside the world's main filmmaking centres, focussing our lens in on Kenya and India.
We are very excited to be bringing two rising stars of Kenyan cinema, Wanuri Kahiu and Judy Kibinge, to London for screenings of three of their films; an award-winning drama, an in-depth documentary on a radical Kenyan environmental activist, and a dark graphic-novel adaptation. Following the Kenyan showcase, we offer you one of the docs that has most enthralled us this year, Independant Indian Director Saba Dewan's intimate search for the meaning behind a favourite song - The Other Song..
