This year we continue our trailblazing tradition of offering you a glittering showcase of new masterpieces by women filmmakers around the world.

2010’s selection includes fresh works by Spanish auteur Isabel Coixet, young Austrian mistress of mystery Jessica Hausner and Kenyan rising star Wanuri Kahiu, a magnificent debut by two Latin American directors whose reputation we are hoping to establish on these shores, and as our climax, Drew Barrymore’s vivacious discovery of the joys of roller-derbys!
