BEV partners with NBCQ to screen Strawberry Fields + Q&A

4 July, BFI Southbank and 9 July, Renoir

BEV teams up with New British Cinema Quarterly on their tour of Strawberry Fields. An inventive melodrama referencing Tennessee Williams and A Streetcar Named Desire, Frances Lea's latest offering is a complex story of lust, rivalry and liberation in Kent countryside. Join us at the BFI Southbank on the 4th July, and at the Renoir on the 9th, when Rachel Millward will be hosting a Q&A.

As part of our Sound & Silents programme BEV presents Sparrows (1926) from the screen icon and movie mogul Mary Pickford. We commissioned Aristazabal Hawkes of Mercury and Brit Award nominated Guillemots to bring this classic to new life, and she and her crew of musicians will be performing this unique score live in accompaniment to the film.
