Full April programme announced - BEV 2013: Celebrating Arab Women Filmmakers is launched!

All systems go! We're thrilled to finally - after much deliberation - announce the full programme for our 2013 Film Festival: Celebrating Arab Womem Filmmakers from 3-10 April at BFI Southbank, Barbican, Southbank Centre, ICA & Hackney Picturehouse.

With ten exclusive director Q&As, seven UK premieres, two London premieres and two live music world premieres, this year's Festival is an unmissable opportunity to experience the rich, diverse and powerful voices of the Arab world’s most inspiring women.

Unique insights and deeply personal stories

Covering everything from the ‘Arab Spring’ to civil conflict, science, art and more, this is a vital opportunity to hear a female perspective from a region at a pivotal moment of change. IWD Gala: Wadjda at BFI Southbank, plus live music premiere at Southbank Centre!

You can get a sneak peak in a fortnight when we're back for International Women's Week, first premiering a new live score by rising star composer Bushra El-Turk at Southbank Centre on Thu 7 March, accompanying spectacular early animcation Adventures of Prince Achmed, followed by our International Women's Day Gala preview of Venice Award-winner Wadjda at BFI Southbank on Fri 8 March.
