An Introduction to 3D Computer Graphics and Visual Effects

A practical, introductory training session for those wanting an insight into 3D for visual effects and post-production.
This hands-on session will take place at the London based school of animation and visual effects. Participants will be taken through the basic creation of 3D models, the process of camera tracking these into live-action footage and the skills required in lighting and texturing, in order to achieve photo realistic results.
Daniel Schutt
Daniel Schutt started working in the 3D industry in 1994, producing architectural renderings for the Sega World complex in Piccadilly Circus. After that he then moved into the games industry putting in time with companies such as Divide By Zero and Sierra before moving into post-production at London based effects house Lost in Space working on high profile broadcast work for clients such as the BBC and the Discovery Channel. After a year Daniel formed his own company The Atlantean Picture Company, building a client list that includes 4:2:2, BBC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Channel 4 and ITV. Working with Nexus Productions he was involved with the award-winning Honda, Hate promo and the titles for the Pink Panther film. Daniel's experience in providing CG for a variety of projects means that he's exceptionally qualified to teach at Escape Studios, which he's been doing since 2004.
