Harriet video reports SAT 7 MARCH

Published on March 10, 2009 | Written By Harriet Fleuriot

So, Saturday was definitely a highlight for me. At the ICA I captured some of the Mary Harron Masterclass as well as the repose before the Bettie Page screening, where we met Claire from Nina’s Hair Parlour who had her photo taken with Mary and might be bringing down their vintage hairdressing skills to the closing night party this Friday… I must admit, I was unexpectedly too shy to talk to Mary on camera, but caught Rachel and her chatting about how the masterclass went afterwards.

A little while later I bumped into Helen Jack from Shooting People who took me upstairs to pop my head round the door for BAFTA/Shooting People Short Sighted!, which was in full swing.

Then we strolled over to the BFI Southbank to experience silent Vamp film Salome with live music from Bishi and her band. Absolutely magical! Immodesty Blaize, who introduced,  was there looking completely gorgeous and gave a fantastic introduction. And also some good friends of Bishi – the Broken Hearts, (who accompanied A Fool There Was last night) were there to cheer her on.
